Cannabis Warning — Read This
Do not attempt to bring cannabis from Amsterdam back to the US.
Despite the tolerant coffeeshop policy in Amsterdam, cannabis is illegal to take out of the Netherlands. Schiphol has sniffer dogs and customs enforcement at departure. The US also considers it illegal to import.
If you purchased cannabis in Amsterdam:

Do not pack it in checked or carry-on luggage
